While my Younger Sister was still in town, we decided that we should try afternoon tea. Having never been before, we spent a lot of time looking at different places online before deciding to head to The Tea Room in QVB for a traditional afternoon tea. Pinkies up!
Traditional afternoon tea includes finger sandwiches, sweet and savoury pastries, scones with clotted cream and jam, petite fours and your choice of tea or coffee. You can pay extra for a glass of wine or champagne, but we were happy with tea. I went with the ‘Wokou Garden’ which was a nice and light green tea. They top up your teapot with hot water if you need, and they also top up the finger sandwiches too.
The savoury items were good, but I loved the sweets more. The scones were so warm and fluffy and perfect with the jam and clotted cream. And those little desserts were so amazing! Whatever that chocolate and nutty thing was, give me more. Overall, The Tea Room was a very nice place for our family to spend the afternoon eating and drinking tea. I certainly wouldn’t mind going back again for another round of high tea.
