It’s been so long since my last bush walk/hike and I really wanted to get back into it. After some discussion with Super Boy, we decided to visit the Blue Mountains National Park. We didn’t have much time that day, so we went for a walk to Jellybean Pool.
There’s not much to say about this bush walk. It’s very short (approx. 15mins) but involves a lot of stairs. You’re rewarded with a pool to go swimming in, if you fancy. It’s like a secluded little beach with beautiful views of the Australian bushland. We saw quite a few people come here for a swim. Super Boy and I weren’t prepared for a dip, so we sat by the water and ate our snacks instead.
The climb back up is hard. Either that, or I’m terribly unfit (not surprised). We also started the Gorge Track nearby, but had to stop since Super Boy needed to be back for his other appointment. Although the hike to Jellybean Pool was short, it was a nice way to ease back into bush walking. Now that the weather’s warming up, I’m looking forward to doing a lot more.
