Taking Stock: March 2016

March. A very lazy month. If I’m honest, I think I was in a bit of a slump for most of it. I just couldn’t seem to get myself motivated or march-ing (get it?). Anyway, I enjoyed the laziness more than I should of and I’m hoping next month I will be better at doing stuff.

Making: minimal progress with my knitted blanket.

Cooking: nothing lately.

Reading: different guides on what to see and eat while in Tokyo.

Playing:Never Be Like You‘ by Flume feat. Kai (which has slowly grown on me), ‘New Romantics’ by Taylor Swift, and still playing ‘Hands to Myself‘ by Selena Gomez.

Enjoying: dinner at Aperitivo.

Sorting: out things for my trip to Japan at the last minute. As always…

Wondering: what it is about my appearance that makes people think I’m still in University.

Waiting: for time off work.

Deciding: on nothing this month.

Wishing: for a new bathroom or laundry room.

Liking: that my work colleagues don’t mind if I’m being my silly self.

Disliking: last minute cancellations for accommodation. Honestly, apologising for ‘any inconvenience caused’ is not helpful and a gross understatement.

Considering: buying more indoor plants to turn my living room into a jungle.

Watching: ‘The Blacklist’ as well as ‘Archer’ on Netflix with friends. Also watched ‘Inside Out’.

Marvelling: at cute little houses in Leichhardt. When can I move in?

Wanting: more energy and/or more sleep.

Needing: to find my mojo again.

Following: nothing of interest this month.

Noticing: I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately.

Knowing: I need to try more to maintain familial connections.

Thinking: about when I can get back to bushwalking and which one to do next.

Buying: travel insurance, JR passes, and Japanese Yen all at the last minute. Plus, new shoes.

Getting: anxious about going on holidays with The Parents.

Admiring: pretty pink sunrises.

Hoping: things will go well on my family holiday.

Loving: looking at display homes with friends. It’s like a whole neighbourhood where they let you peek into every home.

Giggling: with work colleagues over drinks and pizza.

Planning: to sort my life out after holidays.

Feeling: a bit lost, a bit sad, a bit overwhelmed and plenty tired.

I decided to ‘take stock’ after seeing it over on Meet Me At Mike’s and you can join in too. You can check out the original ‘taking stock’ and find a list or simply see what others are up to. Let me know if you decide to join in. I’d love to see what you got up to.
