Birds of a Feather

Remember when I picked up some feathers? Probably not, since it was about two months ago. Well, I finally got around to framing them. Not sure why it took so long because it’s the easiest DIY ever!

I gave them a bit of a clean in a mixture of warm water and anti-septic, and then let them air dry. I then promptly forgot about them for weeks, and once I realised, decided that maybe it was time to frame them. Nothing fancy. Just plain A4 paper and a bit of craft glue on the shaft. Press down gently for a few seconds so it sticks to the paper. I left it for about half an hour before putting it in a frame I had lying around.

Ta-da! I think it looks pretty neat. I like how the feathers aren’t all perfect, but I wish the colours were more vivid from afar. Ah well, still really good for a scavenged find. I guess the question now is, where do I hang it?

I’m glad someone around here remembers! Haha. Also, don’t tempt me with peacocks. I know where to find free-range peacocks that may “accidentally” lose a feather or two πŸ˜‰

Oh wow, sooo simple and it looks sooo beautiful ❀ Great idea!!! Specially: you did it!!! In less than a year or so πŸ˜€ One should always just start doing the projects in mind… sometimes they stay as ideas for way too long 😦

Haha! Well, if the feathers weren’t lying around near my computer, it could very well be a year before I got around to framing them XD

Too true about just starting a project. Thanks for the compliment dear! ❀
