Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to everyone taking part in what is aptly known as ‘the Silly Season’. Christmas isn’t a big deal around my house, but I’ve still put the tree up and Santa somehow placed his gifts for us underneath.
With my Younger Sister over in Tokyo, it’ll be just The Parents and I visiting my cousin’s new place for a family BBQ. Yep, that’s how we do it here in Australia. For those of you up in the Northern Hemisphere, the idea of a Christmas BBQ sounds ludicrous (I would know. My ex-London-colleagues thought I was mental just describing it), but I can’t think of a better way to spend time with family and share laughs, gifts and food. Especially food.
So wherever you are, and however you celebrate, I hope you get to spend it with loved ones and that you look after each other. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! Here’s hoping Santa was kind to you this year.
