Well, July sort of went by in a blip. I did many new-to-me-but-generally-very-mundane things like seeing a stand-up comedy show with a work colleague (or just getting out of the house in general) and did one-too-many shopping trips to IKEA. Damn it, IKEA, I was meant to stay away from you. I don’t have many photos this month, so you’ll just have to trust that I’ve been a very busy bee.
Making: floating shelves. Well, more ‘installing’ than ‘making’, but I’m still chuffed with the results nonetheless.
Cooking: Slow-cooked Lamb Shanks with Mashed Potato and Green Beans.
Drinking: coffee, green tea and sparkling water (it still counts as water, right?).
Reading: nothing. Oops.
Wanting: motivation to start exercising.
Looking: for ways to decorate the house.
Deciding: that I need to let him go.
Wishing: I didn’t have to.
Enjoying: getting out of the house and doing things.
Waiting: for warmer weather so that I can wear denim shorts and pretty dresses without tights.
Liking: sunny Winter days.
Wondering: if I’ll ever find another man like him…
Loving: that The Parents finally relented and allowed me to drill holes into the wall and decorate a small part of the house.
Pondering: the next step in my life.
Considering: going on a second-hand shop trail around Sydney.
Watching: the final of MasterChef Australia.
Hoping: I manage to finish a few more small projects around the home before my Little Sister returns from Japan.
Marvelling: at how fast time seems to fly by.
Needing: to clean my room.
Wearing: my favourite black suede ankle boots that go ‘clop clop’ when I walk.
Following: my own advice to get out of the house and do more.
Noticing: the garden looking quite sad and in need of some TLC.
Knowing: I can get things done if I set my mind to it.
Thinking: about the next home make-over project.
Admiring: minimalist interior design.
Sorting: through all the junk in my bedroom.
Buying: way too much from IKEA and ASOS.
Saving: very little this month.
Getting: too excited about being able to decorate a small part of the house.
Disliking: this Winter that feels colder than before.
Opening: packages from IKEA and ASOS like a kid on Christmas morning.
Giggling: with work colleagues over random things.
Feeling: glad, sad and confused.
